Colin and I played table tennis for Civil Service with Colin Thomas who passed away a while back, who was also Colin’s Argyle colleague. After Civil closed we went to Woodland Fort, joined by Jim lock and Steve Dickinson. Colin and I also played at Table Tennis HQ on Sunday afternoons. Altogether we played together for over 25 years and I considered him a good friend, never had any disagreements, and we enjoyed an after match pint at the Fort club. A very, very sad loss.

In 1978 Colin and I co-authored an article entitled 'Forecasting Council Dwelling Relets' in a journal called 'Urban Studies'. On rereading this article after so many years it shows the thorough and detailed thinking of Colin. As this publication is pre-digital age I would offer a photo-copy via the post if any one wishes to see it, send your postal address to erbentley@supanet.com
